WHY I CREATED YOU ARE A CEO 

I would like to start with my own story, a young man who went to over six different elementary schools and came through a broken home. I'll never forget riding with my mom to a home for battered women and wondering if I could ever be successful. Somehow through it all I was able to rise above that situation and ended up moving through school, getting my master's degree, and was hired by Toyota where I was handpicked to go to Japan. As I was in Japan I couldn't help but feel there was something more that I needed to do. So I broke away from the corporate world and I became an entrepreneur. Through all of this I came up with a concept and started a company called You Are A CEO. The message is simple, you run the business of YOU. You have to be the CEO of yourself before you could ever be the CEO of your destiny.

When I realized that I'm responsible for how much passion I have and how much success I want to strive for I realized that it didn't matter where I came from and all the obstacles that were in front of me. What mattered was how much I wanted to change that situation. So I learned how to rise above insecurities, fears, and challenges by having something deep on the inside that said, I am making an executive decision to move myself forward and I'm going to create the success that I'm looking for.

You Are a CEO is a philosophy to help people achieve anything they want to achieve by making an executive decision for success. That's what I did. That's what I like helping others to do.

Michael E. Parker is founder and CEO of You Are a CEO, a product development company that provides content and tools that help people live a self-leadership lifestyle. Drawing from his early career experience studying lean management solutions with Toyota in Japan, Michael has launched 10 businesses during his career and today he is focused on sharing his experience to help others transform their professional and personal lives by finding their passion and tapping into their inner achiever. You Are A CEO is the culmination of Michael’s years of experience and his inspirational message, providing self-leadership products and resources that allow everyone to excel at every aspect of life as their own chief executive.
